Queensland cricketer Peter Forrest is on the move

Picture: Phil HillyardQUEENSLAND cricketer Peter Forrest and his wife Rachel have listed their Cannon Hill home for sale.The couple, who have a 10 month old son, bought the house at 52 Aster St, in 2012. Back then it was a three-bedroom house. They have since renovated it and transformed it into a much more substantial five-bedroom home.Mr Forrest said they were actually renting in Sydney when they first bought the house which turned out to be perfect for them.As they had been living in Western Sydney they wanted something much closer to the city when they relocated to Brisbane and found that at Cannon Hill.“We looked around and found Cannon Hill and this house, It was only a three-bedroom settler’s cottage when we first bought it,’’ Mr Forrest said.More from newsNew apartments released at idyllic retirement community Samford Grove Presented by Parks and wildlife the new lust-haves post coronavirus20 hours ago52 Aster St, Cannon Hill.Buying the house coincided with Mr Forrest being picked for the Australian cricket team so the couple decided to push ahead quickly with their renovation plans.While they loved the results Mr Forrest said it was time for something different and they thought now was a good time to sell.“We think that it is a good time to sell with Cannon Hill going off a little bit,’’ he said.The split-level home is on 405sq m of land. The original external elements of the home have been retained including timber casement windows and leadlight inserts in the front door.52 Aster St, Cannon Hill.There are polished hoop pine floors throughout the home and a modern kitchen.
