The gatefold included inside is exactly what I wanted to see. All the Bad Ass Mother F*****’s from the US Army Special Forces ready to kick-ass (die) and take names! Sadly there are no liner notes, through the vinyl itself makes up for that. This release comes in two beautiful editions. The limited brown & green “Camo” edition that is limited to 1300 copies. Or the limited “Infrared” edition that comes in beautiful red, green, yellow and black colors. Seeing this killer turn on the table is hypnotizing, to say the least! The sound for this one was taken from Intrada’s 201 Complete and Definitive Edition of the score itself. The cover art was also done by Rafal Wechterowicz, which depicts the Predator in all his unmasked glory. ‘Beetlejuice,’ ‘The Warriors’ Get the Waxwork Records TreatmentVinyl Record Sales Show No Signs of Slowing in 2019 “Among the truly inspired touches are the eerie, descending strings as the Predator descends to earth, the propulsive military march that introduces the commando team, and the simple trumpet fanfare in “He’s My Friend” that laments the loss of a fallen comrade. Yet, because the film came out in the ‘80s during the premature death of vinyl, Predator has NEVER been released on LP…till now. Real Gone is proud to present Alan Silvestri’s score to Predator in a double-LP set featuring newly commissioned, custom front cover art by Rafał Wechterowicz that captures the Predator in all its ugly mother******ness, with additional stills from the production decorating the gatefold package. The sound to our release is taken from Intrada’s 2012 complete and definitive edition of the score, and it comes on green and brown “camo” vinyl limited to 1300 copies. Get it before it disappears into the jungle!” The score to 1987’s Predator is one of the most iconic pieces of film history that does not nearly get enough credit. Composed by Alan Silvestri, Predator packs in a spine ripping twenty track playlist that is a cross between suspense, patriotism and the alluring hunt of man. You cannot expect anything less from Silvestri who is also best known for his work on film scores like Romancing the Stone and Back to the Future. The full orchestra on hand for this original soundtrack really added to the fear and intensity of one of film’s most terrifying creatures. Lucky for us, Real Gone Music is here to save the jungle and is reissuing this OST’s release after its three limited-edition CD run that all successively sold out in short order. Here is more from RGM on the release. Stay on target Keep in mind that this is a limited run and is more than likely going to sell out. You can pre-order the item now at Real Gone Musics page and it will ship before its release date on September 1st. This is a great collectible for any Predator fans out there, as well as one for film score buffs who have been asking for this one for years! It will be entering our atmosphere very soon.
